The design intervention involved the fusion of two pre-existing housing units into a single apartment, redefining the spaces and giving a coherent identity to the entire residence. The key concept of the project was a diagonal cut that runs through the entire space, determining the distribution and perception of the environments.

One of the most significant elements is the creation of a visual cone along the corridor, emphasized by a system of fixed cabinetry. This architectural element not only provides storage space but also guides the gaze towards the Turin hills, visible through the balcony, creating a visual dialogue between the interior and exterior.

All the furnishings were custom-designed to respond to the unique identity of the apartment. In particular, the bookshelf, characterized by glass shelves suspended by thin metal wires, gives an effect of lightness, making the books appear as if they are floating in mid-air.

Another key element is the multifunctional wardrobe, designed as a partition wall that also integrates the air conditioning system. This element does not merely separate the spaces but also serves as a distribution structure for the living area. The door handles were designed as embedded spheres, surrounded by a steel profile that evokes the movement of a drop of water expanding on a liquid surface.

Finally, a piece of furniture entirely constructed dry, without hinges and characterized by interlocking joints and sliding doors, runs along the path to the living room. This element, completely dismountable and reconfigurable, also integrates the entryway valet tray, which echoes the same material details as the handles while differing in shape to emphasize the stylistic variety of the project.

In summary, the project did not simply merge the two units but redefined the spaces through a coherent architectural language, enhancing spatial fluidity and emphasizing the relationship between interiors and exteriors.
